Beijing is located on the north side of china. It is near the meeting point of the Xishan and Yanshan mountain ranges. The total elevation from sea level is 44 m. The total area of the city is 16,808 km² while the total population is 20,035,000 approximately. On the north side of Beijing, Hebei Province is situated, and Tianjin to the southeast side.
Climate of Beijing
The city is located near the Bohai Sea Coast, therefore, the climate is classified as continental.The city experiences winter from November to March, with average temperature around 0 degree Celsius during daytime and -15 to -18 degree Celsius during night time. Sometimes snowfall also occurs in the city but rarely. From June to August, the city experiences summer with average temperature around 32 degrees to 35 degrees Celsius. The city experiences average rainfall of 570 mm (23 inches) per year.
