Rome experiences winters from December to February with the average temperature in winters is 7.5 °C (45.5 °F). The city experiences cold temperatures at night only and the day time is mostly sunny and less cold. The city experiences summer from June to August with an average temperature of 34/35 °C (93/95 °F). However, the whole year is good for tourism and people can easily visit Rome at any time of the year. Every year, rainfall amounts to about 800 millimeterswith Autumn being the wettest season of the year.

The total area of Rome is 1,285 km² while the total population amounts to 2.873 million. The city is located on the west side of Apennine Mountains.
